Smoking Cessation

Smoking cessation is one of the most common issues people use hypnotherapy for. And the reason that hypnotherapy is so successful in helping people stop smoking is because smoking is not a physical addiction. That’s right. If nicotine was as addictive as it is made out to be, why don’t people become addicted to nicotine patches or gum?

Smoking is a habit, a learned habit. At some stage, a smoker had to teach themselves how to smoke. They didn’t enjoy it at first, but they taught themselves how to do it. And the good news is, anything that has been learned can be unlearned.

Hypnotic Coaching has a proven process to help people stop smoking. It is based around the belief that people do not like being told what to do. Unlike many other hypnotherapy programs that use direct suggestions, telling the client all the negative things about smoking and then telling them that they will not smoke, our process allows the client to make their own choice, to find out why they really want to not smoke anymore. And then through using the tools given to them, they find it easy to stop smoking.

You see, when someone has a real, personal reason to do something, they find it easy to do that thing. Through hypnosis we allow the client to discover the deep-down reason they want to stop, that’s why it’s so successful. They realise that they are not giving up anything, they are gaining everything.
